Hi friends!
This was the best weekend ever, even though I got in a little bit of trouble with my mom. I'll get to that part.
Saturday morning, my people and I woke up and ate breakfast like normal. After W-A-L-K-ing, we relaxed a bit and the overnight bag came out. That means just one thing--Grandma's house! Sure enough, we loaded up and rode to see Grandma for her birthday. Pretty sure seeing me was her present. We hung out a little bit and my crate came inside. That wasn't good news for me. After tricking me inside, the humans left me all alone while they went out to eat. The nerve! The worst part was they were gone for forever. The first place they went had a 45 minute wait and the other place had really bad service. I don't know what that means because I was home all by my poor lonesome.
When they finally got home, Mom and Dad said I had a special treat--We were going to Mawmaw's house. Usually that doesn't happen until the next morning, but Grandma and Grandpaw are having their bathroom remodeled and it wasn't in working condition yet. I had a hard time getting settled once we were there and when Mom got up Sunday morning, Mawmaw said I had a, um, solid accident on a throw rug. Since it was Mawmaw's house, Mom said I couldn't get in trouble, but she was very disappointed in me. Whatever. This is why I love Mawmaw!
Even though I pooped in her house, Mawmaw still let me help cook breakfast!
It's hard not feeling well.
Sunday was the annual parade that goes right front of Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house. Unfortunately, The Thing came for lunch and stayed for the parade, but at least I didn't have to share my Grandma with him. The parade was great, as always. Whoever wants to be in it just shows up and you can ride whatever.
The Thing made a new friend. She was cute, but another one gave me food. I liked him.
I also liked hanging on the porch with Uncle Hank, Pawpaw, and Ms. Jeanette
Lots of people drive 4-wheelers, lawn mowers, and Mules.
Uncle Rick and Aunt Reva on their Mule
Some drive their old cars, or their fancy cars...or their old fancy cars.
Old cars
The Thing liked the old cars.
There's usually a few trailers decorated and all the area fire departments send trucks.
Sometimes there's pretend pig on a trailer
The Thing and I watching
Sometimes there's a DirecTV van that rides.
My favorite though is the horse section!
Horses!
The parade circles back, so I just waited for the horses to come back.
This time I barked at them!
After the parade, we came home and went to bed early. Mom got a surprise when we got up today. I wasn't really hungry for breakfast and as we left for our W-A-L-K, she discovered I had another, um, solid accident. Since I only nibbled breakfast for two days and went inside two different nights, she thought a V-E-T trip was in order. Boo!
She got an appointment this afternoon. Side note, there's a new doctor at my V-E-T office and I like her a lot. Probably because I like the ladies and she is one. All the other doctors are boys. They're OK, but Mom's always kinda thought I'd be happier with a girl. Mom was also very proud of me. I let the V-E-T examine me and even let her stick the thermometer in the Out hole. I didn't whine, so she could actually hear my heart and breathing. I probably just have some kind of inflammation in my belly since I did groan when she pushed around there, so I got shot with something and I have to take some medicine for a few days. My tummy was very gurgly this afternoon, but Mom let me munch on the grass in my yard and everything seems to have calmed down. Paws crossed for a clean night tonight!
