Fourth of July a.k.a. WORST Holiday Ever!

Ugh. Yesterday was the WORST holiday ever. The Fourth of July. This is the worst and dumbest of all human holidays. It is a holiday we have here in the states where we celebrate our independence.

It starts off innocently enough. My people both had the day off. Yay! And a lot of people grill and picnic and eat lots of food. Yay again! But once the sun goes down...makes me shiver just thinking about it. The people light explosive thingys called "fireworks." They make look pretty, but they make an awful popping sound and I HATE them. Like HATE. Like more than thunder.

Luckily, this year, my people had bought me a Thundershirt. It's supposed to relieve dog's anxiety and it just wraps around me and attaches by velcro. Easy-peasy! Mom bought it hoping it might help my separation anxiety (which it kind of does if Dad's home. I don't pace), but we haven't really tested it much when I'm alone. She also thought it might help with my thunder boomie nerves. It definitely does help that. So we tried it yesterday for fireworks. I still heard them and I was concerned about them, but I stayed in my spot on the couch and didn't shake like last year, so we call it a success!

Mom didn't take any pictures of me with my shirt, but you'll just have to trust me. I give it 4 paws up!

Disclaimer: I was in no way compensated for my review of a Thundershirt. Mom paid for it with Dad's hard-earned money. All opinions are mine (as told through my mom).

  4. Hi Mister. I have the same troubles, but I have to have a Thundershirt and some medicine to help me get through it.

I wondered what state you were in, and I can check to see if there is an EzyDog distributor in your area. I can tell you that if you go to EzyDog.com and use the coupon code EZYPBU you'll get 15% off of your entire order. I can tell you honestly that these life vests are much better than ones that I have seen in my local stores. Hope this helps,
