National Dog Day

Today is a very special day. Today is National Dog Day!!! Mom says that's silly because I get spoiled every day. Moms are so silly sometimes. Anyway, here is a website that has some ideas for celebrating our only special day ;)

Maybe This Will be Useful

Mom found this while she was playing with her computer thing instead of me, but thought it would be useful to pass along. She also is making me say that NO she is not trying to tell anyone anything about a sibling for me (whatever that is). She just thought there was useful information in case anyone is getting a sibling (note to me: find out what "sibling" is). She just really hates when people send their puppy dogs to other families when a baby thing comes around.

Birthdays

Today is an important day. Today is That Daddy Guy's birthday! Don't tell, but he's eightyleven-teen years old. In dog years, of course.

I got him a UK bandana. Mommy said that wasn't exactly a present FOR him, but I said it's what I would pick so please take your plastic toy out and swipe it in the toy reader and pay for it please. Silly me had forgotten my wallet.

By the way, That Daddy Guy loved my present. He even let me wear it and that made him very happy.

Mom says I need an Auburn one now and then I'll really be ready for football season. I love football season. It means the people hang out on the couch all day and give me pretzels! I don't like when they yell at the TV though.

Anyway, happy birthday, That Daddy Guy!

Showing Mr. Fox Who's in Charge

Today is a special day. Today I got to be Pet Blog United's featured New Blogger! Mommy sent in all the info and she got the e-mail last night. We feel very honored. I hope all my new visitors take a good sniff around and hang around for a while. You just might get your belly rubbed :)

The other day, I got in a little fight. Not a big deal, I just had to show someone who's the boss in this house.

This is the tail of my toy, Mr. Fox. He's been running his mouth lately, so I had to put him in his place.

I tugged on his tail a lot...

And had to shake him around.

He finally started to get the idea.

Just to make sure he learned his lesson, I laid on him a little bit. Plus, the people can't take him away.

If you beat 'em...dress like 'em? Is that how that phrase goes?

Smiles for a Golden

Today is a special day. Today is the 10th birthday of my fur-iend, Sugar. He's known around the blog world for his smile, so he's asking everyone to post their best smile. This would be easy for me because before my mommy and That Daddy Guy found me, my shelter named me Mister Smiley (that's how Mom and Dad named me Mister), since I was always smiley!

Here's my picture:

My mommy always know how to make me smile!

Happy birthday, Sugar!

Tree Land (a.k.a. "Canada")

Mom and Dad finally got their pictures out of the camera boxes! Yay!

Every year since before she was born, Mom's family has gone to Tree Land ("Canada"). By my calculations, that's about 80 thousandy-hundred years. Give or take. Since I like car rides so much, Mom and Dad get to take me with them! I even have a passport so I can get back in to the U.S. (they've never asked for it going into Tree Land).

This is me, ready to go! Too bad the people weren't ready yet.

This is me and That Daddy Guy going for a jog near our hotel in Gaylord, MI. We usually stop there to spend the night since the drive is ninety-leven hours long. I needed to stretch my legs.

This is the view!

I spent my days keeping a look-out for squirrels...

Napping...

And keeping watch whenever someone went inside. I tried using my power of suggestion to make them bring me snacks. It usually worked, too!

I also helped Grand-Paw cook dinner.

We did have one rainy day, so Mom and I took a long nap...

And That Daddy Guy gave me belly rubs!

On our last night, Mom and Dad took me down to their friends' places that are right on the beach. I didn't want to go swimming, but I sniffed around and chased sea gulls. I think Tree Land is the greatest place ever!

And this is me with my family. My people are pretty great. They don't even get upset when I get distracted by birds...or squirrels...or chipmunks...or air...or...well, you get the idea!

I really like going to Tree Land and I especially like travelling with my people. I hope we get to go on more trips...only maybe not quite as far away.

Rules Were Made to be Broken

Hi friends!

Sorry I've been a little quiet lately. We've been on vacation this week, so I've got lots of adventures to show you and tell you about (as soon as Mom and Dad get their pictures from the camera boxes into their computers).

For now we're just enjoying a lazy day at home:

Vacations really wear a dog out! My mom just had to take this picture, partly because I never nap on that part of the couch. Mostly, she took it because:

I have a perfectly lovely place to nap, pillow and all. She even put a sheet down so my white furs didn't get all over the brown couch. I try to tell her, "Mama, I don't see any furs." You know, since I don't tell colors too well. She says she sees them and that's all that matters.

Moms. Can't live without them, don't wanna either. Even when they're silly.
