The V-E-T

Mommy took me to the V-E-T yesterday. Normally I don't mind too much since we just go to pick up my medicine. I minded today though. Mommy took me to get shot!!! TWICE!!! The doctor was nice enough, but before he shot me, he touched me all over and stuck me and took away some of my blood :( As if that wasn't bad enough, then he stuck a big stick thing, let's just say in a place sticks don't belong. The worst part was Mommy just let him. He and Mom chatted about Auburn and next thing I know, I'd been shot. Mom said the first time was so I didn't get rabies. Then I got shot again so I don't get other sickies. BTW, Mom hates that I'm tell everyone I got shot. She says that I got my shots. Can anyone explain the difference?

Then the mean doctor left and I thought I was in the clear. But then he came back and I got nervous. All he came to say was that all of the "test results" were negative. I thought that sounded bad, but Mom seemed happy, so I guess it's ok...maybe tests are like golf and the low score wins! I got a pretty new tag for my collar and I even got my license renewed. Mom still wouldn't let me drive home though :( The only thing that made the day better was that Mommy and That Daddy-Guy were home for a long time, so I got lots of belly rubs and snuggles for being a good boy.

  1. Yeh, those vet people do so pretty embarassing & painful stuffs! Sorry you didn't get to drive home, my people say even though I got my license, my legs aren't long enough to reach the pedals.

    Nubbin wiggles,

  2. Grandpa and I love you, Mister. Sorry about the V-E-T, but it really is good for you. You have to talk better about the Daddy-Guy. He's on your side.
