Yesterday was my most specialist of all days! It was my Gotcha Day! For those who may not know, a Gotcha Day is kind of like a birthday, except no one knows when my birthday is. So we celebrate a Gotcha Day as the day my parents "got" me. Sometimes people might call it an Adoption Day, but I like Gotcha a whole lot better.

The day started off OK, better than the day before. I had to go to the V-E-T the day before. They gave me stuff to make me super sleepy and when I woke up my teeth were all pretty. I had lots of fun watching all the people, puppy dogs, and kitty cats back in my spot while I waited for Mommy. They finally brought me to see Mom. The V-E-T guy told her I was "spunky" when I woke up...I guess that's good.

Anyway, that was Friday and it rained ALL day that day. Mom said she had a few wet adventures without me. I'm not sure what would be worse, the V-E-T or water. Since it rained so much Friday, my parents couldn't take me to the puppy dog park like they wanted. I still got an extra long walk, though.

Then I did a lot of this:

After dinner, my people gave me a special treat: A long-lasting chew treat! They had been hiding it forever and decided today was a good day to give it to me.

I chewed and chewed and chewed until it was ALL gone. It was tasty.

Just for fun, here's a picture of me on the original Gotcha Day. This was taken on July 9, 2010, the day I came home!

I've taught my parents a lot about being good puppy dog parents, but there's still lots for them to learn. I guess I better get back to work. A dog's job is never done.
